Dragos and Fortinet partnership improves industrial network cybersecurity

Earlier today industrial cybersecurity company Dragos Inc. announced a new partnership to improve industrial network cybersecurity. The partnership with cybersecurity company Fortinet will enable the integration of the Dragos Platform with FortiSIEM, Fortinet’s multi-vendor security incident and events management solution.

As part of the integration threats detected on an industrial network through the Dragos Platform can now be visualized in FortiSIEM. This gives industrial organizations a unified view of threats and events across the converged enterprise IT and industrial control system environment.

“We see this initial integration with Fortinet technology as a valuable step toward dramatically improving visibility and response across the entire IT/OT networks,” said Clayton Coleman, Senior Business Development Manager of Dragos, in a press release.

Initially, the Dragos Platform will be able to send notifications of threat detection and other activity types to FortiSIEM. This will increase visibility and simplify response workflows for industrial organizations.

“We are excited to partner with Dragos as a market leader in ICS/OT cybersecurity,” said John Maddison, EVP of Products and CMO at Fortinet, in the release. “Between technology and great intelligence, there is a great deal of synergy that will enable us to provide significant value to joint customers in the IT and OT space.”
