Dragos Inc. announces new cybersecurity partnership with McAfee Security

Industrial security provider Dragos Inc. announced a new cybersecurity partnership with McAfee Security. The Dragos Platform will now integrate with the McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, enabling customers to deploy more robust security solutions and better protect their assets from evolving cyber threats.

Dragos specializes in asset identification, threat detection, and response. Its platform uses  threat behavior analytics to uncover adversaries targeting industrial control systems. This new integration with McAfee will provide complete visibility of IT and operational technology threats to simplify response workflows for defenders.

“As customer demand increases for more effective ICS security, there is a requirement that platforms better integrate and use the larger, more comprehensive data available from both IT and OT environments. The integration between McAfee and the Dragos Platform leverages the proven knowledge and expertise of both companies in detecting and responding to threats,” Josh Carlson, Senior Business Development Manager, Dragos, said in a press release.

The Dragos Platform will be able to share notifications with the McAfee Enterprise Security Manager. This addresses a rising industry need to shorten response times from security events and remediate compromised systems.

As part of Dragos’ new cybersecurity partnership with McAfee, the company also joins the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance. The alliance provides integrated, tested, and certified compatible security solutions that help customers protect, detect, and correct threats. It’s mission is to bring  better value and protection against the growing threat landscape to joint customers.

“A key goal behind the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance program is to accelerate the development of interoperable security products and simplify the integration of those products with complex customer environments,” Javed Hasan, Global Head of Enterprise Products Strategy and Alliances, McAfee, said in the release. “We’re thrilled to see Dragos leverage McAfee’s investment in its security risk management platform and extend this value to Dragos customers.”
