Forescout, NEXTGEN Group expand partnership to boost cybersecurity in Singapore, the Philippines

Forescout’s Risk and Exposure Management solution offers streamlined, quantitative approach

Forescout Technologies and NEXTGEN Group, a top-tier value-added distributor of choice for vendors in the ASEAN region, jointly announced an expansion of their partnership. This new agreement now encompasses distribution operations in Singapore and the Philippines, building upon their current partnership which focused on Australia and New Zealand.

The move also underscores the escalating demand for fortified cybersecurity solutions within the region, emphasizing the commitment to augment accessibility to reliable cyber-defense measures.

“It’s a great time for partners to get involved with Forescout as it’s clear that the best is yet to come. At NEXTGEN, we are thrilled to work with the world’s leading enterprise software providers, and our people are excited to deliver further growth for Forescout in Singapore and the Philippines,” Wendy O’Keeffe, executive vice president of Asia at NEXTGEN Group, said in a media statement. “Customers are looking to consolidate the number of vendors they work with and Forescout’s strategic vision and expanding portfolio are attracting a lot of interest from customers and partners.”

“The strategy we employed with NEXTGEN Group was working in Australia and New Zealand, so we’re eager to replicate the vision and strong execution into the Southeast Asian market,” said Sukhbir Sandhu, Director of Regional Sales – ASEAN at Forescout. “NEXTGEN’s agile business model and extensive cybersecurity services challenge the status quo and complement the Forescout commitment to provide the most comprehensive cybersecurity capabilities available on the market.”

The ASEAN region, like other emerging markets, is seeing more cyber-attacks as digital transformation becomes more ubiquitous. Organizations are looking for ways to increase the visibility of assets to address the growing number of threats and support critical industries.

Forescout solutions continuously identify, protect and ensure the compliance of all cyber assets across the modern organization. Forescout solutions also help detect advanced threats that may have bypassed security controls, giving organizations the power to deploy real-time, full-spectrum responses.

In January, data published by Forescout Research – Vedere Labs revealed that there were over 420 million recorded attacks throughout the year, averaging 13 attacks per second. This represents a 30 percent increase compared to the previous year.  The company emphasizes the need for stronger cybersecurity measures in the critical infrastructure sector, as it has faced a continuous stream of attacks, as highlighted in the 2023 Global Threat Roundup.
