Fend Incorporated is a cybersecurity hardware company that protects the critical infrastructure as part of a defense-in-depth approach with secure-by-design tools. Fend manufactures an affordable one-way communication (data) diode product line designed to improve the ICS cybersecurity protection and resilience for critical infrastructure (Energy, water, wastewater, building automation, manufacturing, etc) by enhancing network segmentation and perimeter hardening.
Fend’s data diodes enable a physically enforced, one-way data flow (optical isolation), protecting assets in lower-security networks, allowing the extraction of real-time operational data without compromising an existing air gap or the security posture of a network.
Priced to compete with industrial firewalls, Fend data diodes require no continuous patching, can provide real-time data to digital twins (data historians) for predictive maintenance/monitoring/ modeling and support natively a number of common communication protocols.
Designed & Made in the USA and easy to install, Fend’s data diodes have been tested by the US Army Corps of Engineers, the US Army TSMO, and US Navy NAVFAC. They have also been awarded the Department of Defense (DoD) Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) “Project of the Year.”
