Armis, Nozomi, OTORIO, and Dragos, named among the leaders of the GigaOm Radar Report for Operational Technology Security

GigaOm recently released its Radar Report market sector analysis that named several Operational Technology (OT) vendors, including Armis, Nozomi, OTORIO, and more, as leaders in OT Security. The GigaOm Radar Report for OT Security is a comprehensive assessment of the OT security market. The report evaluates vendors based on various criteria, such as their product capabilities, market presence, and customer references.

The GigaOm Radar evaluates vendor solutions using concentric rings, placing higher-value solutions closer to the center. The assessment considers two factors: maturity versus Innovation and Feature Play versus Platform Play. The GigaOm Radar is divided into three concentric categories: New Entrants, Challengers, and leaders, and four quadrants. The New Entrants category consists of emerging vendors, the Challengers category includes vendors that have gained some traction in the market and offer competitive product capabilities, and the “Leaders” category represents vendors that are well-established in the OT security market.

The asset visibility and security company Armis announced on Monday that it has been named a leader in the GigaOm Radar Report for Operational Technology (OT) Security. Armis works towards the protection of OT security platforms, which include asset discovery, risk assessment, threat detection, and incident response capabilities. Armis’ customer focus and commitment to innovation also drew commendation from GigaOm.

“We’re proud to be recognized by GigaOm as a leader in operational technology security,” said Nadir Izrael, CTO and co-founder of Armis, in a media statement. “It’s critical to secure the hardware and software systems that control physical devices and the industrial processes that our society depends on.”

Rhebo is positioned as a leader in the Maturity/Feature Play quadrant, as according to the report, it provides a simple, intuitive solution for this OT security space but lacks a few key features that are becoming popular, such as integrated AI for threat detection.

Dragos, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, and Tenable are each positioned as leaders under the Maturity/Platform Play quadrant, as each of them delivers OT security via a platform, though they all deliver a variety of capabilities that suit different use cases and industries. GigaOm Report Radar also highlights that Dragos excels in the areas of asset discovery and inventory, threat detection, and vulnerability management, with notable features such as action instructions and playbooks.

The GigaOm Radar report positions several OT leaders in the Innovation/Platform Play quadrant. According to the report,

  • Armis is another scalable platform that is on the leaderboard because of its strong vulnerability management features, practical AI, and dynamic segmentation.
  • Nozomi is a Leader as it offers an easy-to-use UI, flexible licensing models, powerful asset inventory capabilities, and strong threat detection features.
  • OTORIO is a Leader and combines many strong capabilities, like AI, digital twinning, IEC compliance, and ZTNA capabilities, for a powerful OT security solution.

This news comes in light of OTORIO’s recent advancement in OT security with the availability of its Attack Graph Analysis technology, integrated into the company’s Cyber Digital Twin (CDT) model.

According to the GigaOm report, the landscape of OT security is in a constant state of change. The report emphasizes the importance of organizations proactively securing their OT assets by taking appropriate measures and adopting these leaders in OT security for their organizations.
